Open and close a shift

PilotUpdated 19 October 2026

Open the shift

  1. At the counter open Shift.
  2. Tap Open shift and enter the Opening float.

During the day

Cash actions:

  • Pay in — add money to the drawer (change, from the safe and so on).
  • Pay out — take money out (a supplier, petty cash, a tip payout). Above the limit it needs a manager's approval.
  • Move to safe — move extra cash to the safe.
  • Open drawer / No sale — with a reason; every opening is recorded.
  • Hand over the drawer — pass the drawer to another cashier.

Close the shift

  1. Tap Close shift.
  2. Check Before you close: open bills, unlinked Yeri POS payments and so on.
  3. Count the cash — notes and coins separately if you like. The expected amount is shown after you count.
  4. If the difference is above the branch's threshold, a manager approves it.
  5. The Z-report closes the day; the X-report shows where you stand during it.
