Pair a shared iPad and sign in with a PIN

PilotUpdated 19 October 2026

A counter, kitchen or floor iPad is a shared device: you pair it once and staff sign in with a PIN.

Pair the iPad

  1. On their phone, a manager opens Team → Devices and chooses Pair a device.
  2. They pick the device's job: Counter, Kitchen display or Floor.
  3. Create shared code — an 8-digit code that lasts 10 minutes and works once.
  4. On the iPad open Yeri OS, choose Set up a shared device, type the code in Pairing code and tap Pair.
  5. Device paired → Start.

Set your PIN

Each person sets a PIN on their own phone: Account → Shared device sign-in → Set PIN. It's 4–6 digits (6 for owners and managers). Easy PINs and the Yeri POS passcode are refused.

Work on the shared iPad

  1. On Who's working? tap your name and enter your PIN, or Use employee code.
  2. Taking a break? Lock. Changing shift? Switch operator.
  3. After a while without a touch the iPad signs the person out on its own.

Forgot a PIN? A manager uses Reset shared-device PIN to give a one-time PIN that works for 24 hours.
